Omsk on 20 meters
It took about fifteen minutes of calling to get through but I finally made contact with UA9MA. Gena (short for Genaddij) had an incredible signal all across North America by the sounds of it. I captured the QSO although there it is obvious I need to do some tweaking of the audio in from my mic. I sound like an adult from Peanuts. Still, here’s a QSO with Omsk in Russia:

Is it pretty cool to listen to real-time underwater acoustic observation platforms? You bet it is!
Problems encountered
- Very few of the listening posts are currently active
- Some of the listening posts didn’t load in a timely fashion
- Godforsaken, stupid, Flash-only interface to whole damn site
But the site is probably bandwidth heavy and currently experiencing the Slashdot Effect.
