Dudes who use lavender, italicized script fonts in their work IM messages are dudes I just don’t get. In your personal life? Have at it. At work? Hrm…
Absolute genius
Reading Rush Limbaugh talking about his “set up” is hilarious. Apparently Rush gets wifi wherever he goes in his car. The cellular data network is just too slow for his needs.
And then the magical Obama infiltration? Awesome!
Bad Mothertweeter
Samuel L. Jackson tweeting the Olympics is all the commentary that is necessary. AWESOME!
Nyancat
Proving my ultimate fogey hipster cred: Nyancat.
MLB hype generator
I’m getting daily emails from MLB reminding me that I can vote for the MLB All Stars. We’re not even 9% of the way through the season and yet I’m supposed to be voting on the best players? At least let them finish the first month before unleashing the haranguing.
Familiar refrain: I love baseball. I hate MLB. Their hype generator and money grubbing is entirely unpleasant.
We’re back!
Hooray. Web host reverted their auto update of my wordpress install (and subsequent hosing). Lessons learned:
- “Online” support is not a great way to get resolution for technical problems at $WEBHOST
- $WEBHOST is damn quick at triage and ticket resolution for incident reports filed via their tracking system.
Javadoc library
The great reorganization and unit test extravaganza continues. I’ve got most of my various and sundry projects migrated to use the NetBeans IDE. Also have pretty much everything migrated to use Maven. Which is very nice.
What I’ve been up to all morning. I would also post the accompanying SVN repos to go with these but, ummm, I have my web sites in the same browsable universe. And there’s some “sensitive” information therein.
Anyway, I can provide source if you’re interested. And I just know you are.
Current mood: Testy
And too unfocused to properly unload on the irritants. Which compounds the surly. This is the story of my day.
And now we are 3.0
Giving the WP3.0 install a whirl. Seems a bit spiffier.
